3.5 mm | 3.0 V | PCB Mid-Mount Vibration Motor - SMD Reflow

At a height of only 1.7 mm above the PCB, this unique mid-mount vibration motor design allows for space saving, low profile designs. It is mounted in a rectangular cut out in the PCB and is reflow soldered. While coin vibration motor are available in thicknesses as small as 2.0 mm, this mid-mount vibration motor offers the distinct advantage of generating a vibration force that is perpendicular to its body, which in most cases, will also be perpendicular to the end users skin. This is desirable for the user to have the best haptic feedback experience. Coin type motors generate a vibration force that is parallel to its largest surface. These are packaged on tape / reels of 1000 pieces per reel and are designed to be pick-and-placed directly from the reel. They are an excellent choice for high volume mass production. They have a “core” which allows them to withstand the high temperatures associated with the reflow soldering process. These mid-mountable vibrator motors can be damaged by excessive heat. Please be sure to follow the reflow oven temperature profile found in the motors data sheet. If these motors will be hand soldered ( ie. making prototypes) , do not use flux and use a low wattage iron for as short a time period as possible. Please note that these mid-mount vibration motors CAN NOT be washed.
